Q: Who can use the TrustedWebTraders.com shield?

A: The TrustedWebTraders.com shields are available to be used by anyone who has been fully approved by TrustedWebTraders.com to be a current member.

Q: Where can I use the shield?

A: Once approved, you will be able to display the shield on your website and also on any literature you produce including letterheads, business cards, mailers and adverts. You must use the shield in accordance with our terms of use. If you have any questions about the use of the shield you may contact us with your query.

Q: Can I choose the shield we use?

A: Yes. TrustedWebTraders.com offers either a corner floating shield or a static fixed shield. Both have the TrustedWebTraders.com digital verification certificate built in and are available in either gold or platinum colours. The static fixed shields are also available in large or small sizes.

Q: How do I become a Trusted Web Trader?

A: To become a Trusted Web Trader you will need to complete the Membership Application Form and agree to adhere to the TrustedWebTraders.com Internet Code of Practice.

Q: How much does it cost to become a Trusted Web Trader?

A: The current cost to join Trustedwebtraders.com is £75 + VAT per annum, plus a one off joining fee of £50 + VAT. Additional URL’s (Web Addresses) can be added for only £25 + VAT each per annum.

Q: Do I automatically become a Trusted Web Trader when I pay?

A: No, you have to operate your website and online trading organisation in adherence with the Internet Code of Practice in order to become an approved Trusted Web Trader.

Q: Once approved am I a member forever?

A: Yes, as long as you abide by the TrustedWebTraders.com Code of Practice and renew your membership each year.

Q: Can I cancel my membership?

A: Yes, you can cancel your membership at any time, but please remember that you are only allowed to display the TrustedWebTraders.com shield when you are a fully paid up approved member.

Cancellation of your membership will result in you no longer being permitted to display the TrustedWebTraders.com shield.

Q: What if the shield is used by someone who is not an approved Trusted Web Trader?

A: In the event that TrustedWebTraders.com discovers anyone displaying the shield without approval, TrustedWebTraders.com will immediately take legal action to stop that individual/company and seek substantial damages.

TrustedWebTraders.com monitors the internet for use of its logos. We employ the services of a specialist company who scans thousands of websites looking for our shield imagery. Using their image recognition software we are able to spot shields that have been resized, renamed, edited or even had their format altered. TrustedWebTraders.com believes strongly in maintaining the integrity of our shield and service.
